“It’s gone,” he gasped, clutching the arms of the chair as he tried to steady himself.
“What’s gone?” I asked, concern overtaking my curiosity.
“My ancestral treasure—the board game of Pharaoh Seti II. It was stolen last night.”
This wasn’t just any game. It was a rare Senet set, an artifact that had passed down through Aarav’s family for generations. A piece of history, a relic of Egyptian civilization, gone in an instant.
Determined to recover it, I enlisted the help of another trusted friend, Zoya, a historian with a knack for tracking lost artifacts. Together, the three of us plunged into the labyrinthine streets of Cairo, searching for any sign of the thief.
